Design & Vector Creation
Build designs from your sketches using ArtCAM’s powerful vector tools.
Either create unique artwork totally within ArtCAM Insignia using the advanced drawing tools, import your designs or sketches to work around or use imported 2D vector artwork. ArtCAM Insignia can import most common vector and bitmap image formats, including pdf, bmp, jpeg, tiff, gif, eps and also gives full support to dwg and dxf files retaining all the original layer information.
Bitmaps
You are able to bring in and vectorize 2D Bitmap images. ArtCAM Insignia supports most common vector formats including JPEG's, Tiffs, Gifs, and BMP's.
Vector outlines, are created to map out the various different elements of your design. These vectors will act as guides to control your toolpath creation.
For this example the initial design is imported and just requires some text added to it before having the toolpaths calculated.

Importing designs is easy too. ArtCAM Insignia has import filters for most standard file formats including ai, eps, dwg and dxf files. Raster graphics - Bitmaps, Jpeg's, Tiffs and Gifs can quickly and easily be converted into high quality, machinable vectors.
The automated tools within ArtCAM will ensure your designs are fully prepared for manufacture whatever you are creating. Whether you are routing wood, or engraving using hard materials or metals, ArtCAM Insignia will ensure your design is produced.
